"The ROI one is a big thing to get over!"

So is it really worth a medium sized business with let's say 10 outlets in Dunfermline, Perth and so on, employing someone - at £40k or so a year - to promote them through social media?

We get a brilliant ROI from search engine positioning for local companies, because we can connect with consumers when they're actually looking for what they need to buy, but social media? I've yet to meet any local business whose ad budget is better spent on social marketing type stuff and not on customer acquisition?

I find it difficult to think I'll ever get over that. Either it returns a positive ROI or it doesn't. If I was to "get over that" I'd be out of business :-)

If you could demonstrate actual examples Jillian that would be helpful.

Great read. Really opened my eyes up to niche networks - I was pretty dismissive of them previously.

Great read Jillian, totally agree with your thoughts on ROI. Its such a hang up for many when they don't think about it in the terms you have illustrated.

If you like the other adults, you may feel like you have the time to
spread very thin, you do not have the time to quiet sitting in a
classroom. Distance learning is the great concept for the students.
